Kodandaram prevented from meeting farmers

Siddipet: Telangana Joint Action Committee (TJAC) chairman Prof Kodandram was arrested on Monday when he went to meet villagers of Bhalapuram. He went to the village to talk to the farmers whose lands were acquired for Kondapochamma reservoir. The reservoir is being built in Kondapochamma under Marruk mandal.
Along with Kodandaram, High Court Lawyer Rachana Reddy was also arrested and shifted to a police station. Meanwhile in Hyderabad, CPI State secretary Chada Venkat Reddy condemned the arrest of Kodandaram and demanded his immediate release. He wondered whether the State was under a sort of dictatorship.
