Police chased a murder case,four persons held

Godavarikhani police on Thursday arrested four persons allegedly involved in the murder of a 30 year old youth Dhanala Shivashankar alias Chinna, at Hanumannagar, Godavarikhani on August 8.


Producing the accused before the media at Godavarikhani, ACP Rakshitha K Murthy explained the motive behind the murder of Chinna. Manthani Suman (35), Hanumannagar, Jatoth Sarvesh (36), Ganganagar, Edlapalli Sravan Kumar (28), Powerhouse colony, Pulipaka Srikanth (25), Vidhyanagar of Godavarikhani were arrested for his murder. Another accused Damuka Pavan, Hanumannagar, is still absconding.


The accused, who had old rivalry with the victim, quarreled with Chinna at a function on the day of the incident. Meanwhile, Chinna threatened to kill Suman at any cost. Expecting Chinna to carry out his threat, Suman along with his friends attacked and stabbed him indiscriminately with knives at around 10 pm in front of a wine shop in Hanumannagar.


Later, the accused flee to Karimangar where they stayed for six days.  On Thursday, cops arrested them near five incline area while they were returning to Godavarikhani through Manthani. Three knives used to kill Chinna were recovered from them.
