Telangana Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao attended the official Ugadi celebrations at Chief Minister’s camp office.And he told to the partyb leaders that aspiring to contest the next elections to be in constant touch with people and take up their cause if they wanted to get party tickets.As this was the election year,you must spend more time amid public in their respective constituencies and earn a good name for themselves rather than being in Hyderabad all the time. By doing so, their tickets were guaranteed, he added.


Mr. Rao expressed happiness over the almanac read out by ‘sidhanti’ Bachampalli Santosh Kumar, which said Telangana would be a revenue-surplus State as its zodiac sign had good tidings this year.


With a revenue of eight and expenditure of two on a ten-point scale, Mr. Rao said this was a good sign for the State as people can live happily. Welfare and obstacles to State would be in the ratio of 7:3 respectively.


Insisting that all almanacs were the same though the interpretation may vary, Mr. Rao said it was an ancient science that projected cosmic effect on people. They predicted the behavioural pattern of people on the basis of their zodiac sign.


He said Telangana was another God’s own land which partnered in nation’s development process. The same was also conveyed by him to Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The State contributed ?50,000 crore to the Central exchequer.


He expressed hope that the State would receive bountiful rains this year which should keep the farmers happy. He said he prayed to God to keep all sections of people happy.


Mr. Rao felicitated the priests from various temples on the occasion. Endowments Minister and priests of Bhadrachalam temple presented the invitation for Sri Rama Navami celebrations at the temple to Mr. Rao.
