Badradri Is Well Set To Sri Rama Navami

The  Sri Rama Navami Brahmotsavam of 12-day annual religious fete started and it is coinciding with Ugadi celebrations at  Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy temple in Bhadrachalam on Sunday.For this festival the temple decked up and started celebrations.


Scores of devotees offered special prayers at the temple on the first day of Telugu New Year and participated in various rituals held to mark the start of Brahmotsavam festivities.


Distribution of flavoursome Ugadi pachadi, special pujas and panchanga sravanam marked the Ugadi celebrations.


Ahead of Sri Rama Navami slated for March 26, the entire temple complex has been decorated with rows of coloured electrical bulbs in impressive patterns.


Welcome arches are being erected along the main thoroughfares in and around the temple town. Efforts are on to prepare more than two lakh laddus and 100 quintals of mutyala talambralu (sacred rice mixed with pearls, saffron and turmeric) well before the ensuing festival. The temple authorities have embarked on an exercise to personally handover the Sitarama Kalyana Mahotsavam invitation cards to VVIPs in Hyderabad and elsewhere in the State.


The Telangana State Road Transport Corporation TSRTC) has decided to ply a total of 367 special buses to Bhadrachalam from Khammam, Karimnagar, Warangal and Nalgonda districts from March 25 to 27.
